Nintendo, games, ideas...
Nintendo is the only company I have ever known to offer rewards, real rewards with free shipping, if their customers register their games and systems and answer simple surveys.
Nintendo also always has groundbreaking technology, like the wii and 3ds. (and the ds, 2 screens? One a touch screen? Awesome!! And still with buttons? Wicked awesome!!)
The Nintendo 3ds is really awesome, or more accurately the 3d games for it make it awesome! I've never played the legend of Zelda ocarina of time before, but this first time in 3d on the 3ds is amazing!! Especially with the headphones I got for Christmas! Truly immersive and fun!! :D ^u^
However, the other 3ds game I was excited to play, super Mario 3d land, while fun, is far too easy for an experienced Mario player.
With the Galaxy Mario games for the wii and now the 3d land for the 3ds, it appears that Nintendy is targeting kids and newcomers to the Mario games.
I mean, just because it's aged 7 and up, doesn't mean it needs to be easy enough for a 7 year old who had never played Mario games before!!
I love Nintendy's idea of a virtual console store, on the wii and on the 3ds, but I am sorely disappointed and pissed off that they did not include it in the dsi and dsi XL!!!
I mean, the release the dsi, shortly after the dsi XL, then shortly after announce and then release the 3ds!!
The completely killed the dsi's!!
@-@
And they didn't even add virtual console games to it!
It just has dsiware. T.T
Which is better than nothing, but really? It CAN play console games, it can run emulators on a flash cart for Pete's sake!!
I guess I'll just have to do that, run emulators on it that don't work well, because they weren't made by Nintendo obviously, and also buy some on my 3ds.
Nintendo is both embracing digital software and holding on to cartridges, eshop + in store 3ds games, and making it extremely difficult to have the same software across your various systems. (very unlike apple and their system with iPods and whatnot)
They sell you the license to the game, not the game itself, and if you want it on your 3ds you have to transfer it to your 3ds, and this deletes it from your dsi!!
How ridiculous!! >.>
That is a major drawback.
Oh and I have a good amount of digital games on my 3ds, and lately when I boot it up it gets so that I can click anywhere on the screen and it only clicks the brightness settings icon, and when that opens clicking on things doesn't work the way it should. Eventually it will stop acting up, or I will have to reboot.
This is a major problem.
I shouldnt have trouble a large percentage of the time I spend playing my 3ds!!
Nintendo's lack of enthusiasm for homebrew is rather tragic, as it is such a lively and lovely arena of the video game sectors.
And it would make Nintendo's consoles so much more popular!!
Anyway, I got a bit carried away there. What would really make Nintendo's consoles popular would be the ability to share and play and make rom hacks for classic games.
Think about it.
The users have to buy the game from the eshop to play the hack, then they have to buy the hack (if it's paid, and Nintendo would get a percent(I hope)), and those who wanted to make romhacks would buy the tools from Nintendo.
Sales would be good, and the most original content for the games would be created.
These classic games would actual pose a reason for those who have already beaten them to play them. Many classics are just too boring to play now, but with some mods and hacks they could be given life again, reborn, evolved, beautiful.
I think Nintendo should also think about combining certain aspects of certain games together.
Like, in acww the ability to go into a forest area in your game and hunt for Pokemon, or a hidden underground area you could mine for "bells" or things to sell for bells with a hidden secret base which you could use as a tiny house to store secret stuff or whatever.
The animal crossing for the n64 was really cool, it had other games in it!! XD
Well... I'm really tired now, it's 1, but since my nose is no longer bleeding, I am going to bed!!
Good night!!/morning!!
I love you!!! :D

Short quickie
XD
Just wanted to post a quick update for today :)
Nintendo has begun to release the epic games the 3ds needed when they launched it, 3d ocarina of time, Mario 3d land, paper Mario 3d, luigis mansion, Mario kart, etc.. animal crossing..
The list goes on and on. :)
Oh and their virtual content service has steadily been improving, with virtual console, 3dsware, dsiware, and 3-d classic games being released.
(since I was a 3ds early adopter I got a lot of Virtual Console games free :PPP, haven't played them yet due to school and.. Well, other things are more interesting atm lol.(like the 2 games I got for Christmas ocarina of time 3d, which I never played the original so that's cool, which has amazing visuals and really brings you into the game. (and Mario 3d land :D) (atm = at the moment, dunno if this is different or a universally used acronym ;p)
I'm still not getting back into my acww romhack just yet, too busy with everything!! School = no!
I also haven't been working on coding anything lately either, though my dad ordered me snow leopard so I could begin coding for iOS :P
Thaaat's right! For the device I am using to write this blog right now!! XD
I wanna buy a keyboard for this so I can type w/o using the touchscreen's tiny keyboard.
@0@ lol.
But it'll set me back 40-50 dollars used, or a trade. I don't have either lol, I'll just have to wait for now...
Speaking of which, you never see anyone sell something for ridiculously low prices these days, no-one trying to help out their fellow man with a great deal.
(perhaps due to economy and selfishness/self centered ness?)
I love the idea of doing something just because it is thought that no one does that anymore.
Let me elaborate:
In that I mean I love the idea of some crazy ass dude selling things he doesn't want anymore for really really really cheap prices, just because "no one sells anything (that) cheap".
I don't know how to explain it, but that concept gives me this giddy feeling. You're defeating the stereotypes and not conforming to what is expected and in the process benefitting people.
Also, if you are willing to sell things cheaply cheaply cheaply just for the sake of someone existing who is willing to do that, or just for the sake of doing it or for your fellow man, then you increase the odds of you finding someone selling what you want cheaply.
... Ugh, I'm getting really tired.
(and getting up at 5:10 tomorrow, zero period.. What fun lol xD)
I need to complete drivers Ed, study for all my classes and my finals, get caught up on my late homework, read enough pages to complete my book report in English, decide on whether or not I am going to winter formal, run everyday and do core, which I sadly didn't do today D:, and I need to finish my art projects before its too late.
Oh, and did I mention finals (midterm finals) are just about here/fast approaching?!?
Yes, I better get my act together and quickly, or else all is doomed to failure. (or at least I won't get into caltech, and will end up at a college I didn't choose/want. o.o)
(must do near perfect on the sat, grahh lol)
Well then, now that this quick update became a really long one,
Good night!! :D
I love you!!! :}

Hello again!!
What a pleasant surprise! ;D
Anyway...
I was thinking, when you are talking to friends and family about an idea you have they kinda nod mechanically, and are not really interested in what you are saying.
They probably see it as rambling.
Thus, the best way to learn, share ideas, and get inspiration is to meet like minded individuals in a group. ((people)With goals or purposes in common with yours)
This is the best way to remain active, stimulated, and to receive feedback and new ideas, to improve your idea or just in general, which will be beneficial and invigorating!!
I personally want to meet a group on weekends, when I am older, that is for speaking and for speakers of Esperanto.
I really want to learn Esperanto :D
As far as school goes, I think it's rather foolish to teach students just the abstract knowledge with no background information.
We are thrown into an environment without knowing where we are, how we got there, and where we are going. Or even why.
I find it immensely more interesting and easier to grasp things if and when they are taught in historical context along with the info of their creators.
History is truly the most important subject of them all, for it encompasses all other subjects.
And is thus itself the greatest endeavor in human existence.
(it chronicles human existence (as well as big bang) and is the perfect vehicle to learn everything as it arises in history. In chronological order)
Well, I'm wrapping this blog post up, so I love ya!! :D
I'll write more later, but for now, I'm off to read and do homework!!
Ayeyeyahhh!!! Lol
Bye for now,

Late night update :P
Have you come here to read about someone else's life and idears? :PPP
Well then you are in luck!!
Although it may get boring, hopefully it's not too bad. :}
First...
I haven't gotten more than six hours of sleep each night the past couple of days, and I have zero period Spanish III @.@, and boy oh boy is it taking its toll on me.
I feel like someone took my brain and decided to run a few extra programs on it, so to speak, and suddenly my performance is taking an icy plunge for the worse.
I need sleep.. Lol.
I am trying to finish my art project and keep/get my grades up in my classes.
IB physics is tomorrow and, while I usually do pretty good, lately I have been so tired it's like omnipotently harder to grasp everything. -.-
And to make matters worse, I have homework all the time, and not much time to do it.
I have to sacrifice all my time just to try and do it all, and I have been refusing to..
(partly because I'm so tired I find it hard to focus on Hw, partly because Hw is boring, and partly because I have some kind of amotivational funk going on.
(I think it's a character flaw, really talented, good features, no motivation to work out or apply myself. @>@ probably am just afraid of competition.. Not sure. ^|*_~_*|^ shrug
I want to start a business when I am older, and create my own os.
I don't want to post my ideas for it here just yet, due to the fear of idea theft.
Anyway,
Apparently just a little while ago sun Microsystems was funding a project called Open Wonderland ( I think), and it's a 3d virtual world geared towards business.
It looks really cool.
(you can drag and drop files onto the viewer app screen and add them in-world!!
Very cool indeed.
(also has security/privacy settings for individual items, and the server itself.)
I'm pretty sure you could set up your own server if you wanted to, and host your own virtually created world.
Reminds me of secondlife, only better conceived.
I haven't had the liberty to try it yet, wouldn't run on my version of windows, but I will eventually get around to it.
Oh and when Sun was acquired by Oracle, Oracle stopped funding the Open Wonderland project and now it's more community driven and open source.
(which makes me curious if it would be possible to somehow bypass the security mechanisms of the server despite the whole apps purpose of being secure for businesses, etc.)
Well it's approaching 10 p.m
I have to awake at 5:10. ,.,
I didn't get to talk much, but hope to update again soon. (like tomorrow.)
Thanks for your time,
Love ya!!! :D ^u^
Sincerely,
~James Dodon

Life is moving along… too quick lol
Well, I am very reluctant to write anything right now as I feel like there is nothing to write about. But whatever, here it comes ;)
School is about to start in like five days, I will be a junior in high school, and I have not done my summer homework. @0@!
Yes, shame on me.
The homework is for Ap US, where I have to read three chapters, take notes on each chapter, define a list of terms in my own words (basically), and fill in a chart of dates.
Yes, that wouldn’t be hard except for the fact that each chapter is huuuge and filled with sooo much info in every paragraph.
My first page and a half of notes only covered the epilogue to chapter one.
I need a new method of note taking. >.>
I tried to plan my goals, but instead I wrote out most of them and began to write about some fictional future where I take over the world or something xD. idk why lol. (boredom?)
I am supposed to be running xc on a contract this year, yikes, and taking a toon of classes. I had the option to take 8 classes this year.
But instead I am taking seven (if you count the contract for xc, and believe me I do count that as a class. Competitive running is hardcore stuff, very hard work and stiff competition.)
I am taking a drawing and paint class with my wonderful baby sister, Krystin, and hopefully by the end of it I will be a better drawer and painter!! :P
It would be so cool to be able to design concept art for a game, application, story, anything really, on paper and then have it come together in real life!!
Kinda like how mario was originally designed.
(I believe it was drawn out as sketches, perhaps on graph paper, and I think they might’ve done every level by hand. (unless they had a computer program that used their art as sprites(Like lunarmagic <333)))
------------------------------------
On to other things, I FINALLY found a reason to play my psps, yes I have two of them, the other day.
When I originally got them, they are both psp Phats, I played two games on them;daxter, and Ratchet and Clank Size Matters :D
Aside from that, I never really played the psp’s after I beat those games (I believe I loaned Daxter to a friend, and never got to beat it (got close though, but he never returned the game I believe)).
But recently I found my psp’s, with outdated firmware(os) and found out that there was a hack for it that was relatively recent that allowed me to play homewbrew on the psp’s without the purchase of expensive pandora batteries or magic memory cards. (Or whatever they are called)
I went through the semi-convoluted tutorial here, GUIDE:How to hack ANY psp without Pandora , and then VIOLA!
It put custom firmware on my psp!!
Now I can run unsigned code on my psp!(aka homebrew!(aka games and apps made by people on the interwebz that you wouldn’t be able to use otherwise! :p))
After looking up some tutorials I then found that I could put Playstation games on the psp, and they would play!
(The custom firmware had the drm removed in the official playstation emu that was on the psp I believe, which is pretty cool :D)
I put Spyro, Crash Bandicoot, Abe’s Oddysee, and Croc legend of the gobbos, all on my psp’s memory card. I spent a few hours playing croc and spyro, and it was sooo cool!! :D
(if you do happen to have cfw or just have bought the game from some sony official website or something, if you press the home button whilst playing a ps1 game then you will be able to change the screen size to fit/accommodate the screen ^u^)
No lag, no nothing. In my experience 100% perfect emulator.
I had to convert the games I downloaded to a psp friendly format, however, and used an application called ‘Popstation Gui’
(I found a tutorial on youtube with a download link in the description)
Popstation (Article With Dl Links)
Pretty slick, huh? ^3^
Oh and there is a plugin for the psp that allows you to play music while playing games, although my memory card on the psp I installed this on only holds like 4 songs xD I still installed it to test it out, and it works great!
(Semi-great, the psp seems to reach some sort of slow stuck phase when I exit a game with it on, which isn’t that big of a deal. It works while I am playing the game, and I can change the songs as I please. Very nifty :D )
So right now my favorite portable technological devices are my ipod touch and my psp due to the vast amount of applications and use (and ease of use) I get out of my itouch, and due to the wonderful awesomeness of ps1 games on a portable with a widescreen and with actual playstation buttons that I can use the play the game. Did I mention just how AWESOME that is?
No more pressing on screen buttons on a touch screen device (like android or iphone) or slow games with crappy support, just pure ps1 enjoyment and fun :D
Apple keeps putting new and awesome things into their ios software updates, like the infamous white on black setting that is on macs now on the ipod touch(under general>accessibility>)
And the Voiceover option is pretty wicked :> (aside from annoying my mamalama XD ;D)
ios 5 and the ipod touch 5th generation are going to be awesome!! :D
Supposedly the itouch 5g will have 3g, and based on an image on the uk itunes site there will indeed be 3g on the itouch 5g.
Photo:
See that there? That is CLEARLY a little ‘3G’ icon in the top left corner.
Why would that be on the official apple uk site??
Linky:WHAT? Evidenced on the site, even now!!
Here is the photo from the U.S. version of the website….
See the difference?
Now here is the real question, who photoshopped the other picture and how did they convince apple to upload it officially? Did an insider place it there as a little hint as to what is to come?
Why do I not think it is legit?
Well, isn’t it obvious?
More than just the 3g/wifi icon changed!!
The 3g itouch has bluetooth on and has bars from a cellular network,
while the non3g itouch has wifi and WOAH!! No bluetooth, just a little playing music icon.
If the other one is an itouch 3g, why does it not have the playing music icon if it is playing music?
Obvious yet again, they used the same image but used a different image for the top part-> an image that was not of an iphone playing music at that time.
SO there you have it.
WHY on earth apple has not removed that from their website, who knows.
Perhaps they put it up there to see how we the public respond to the concept of a 3g itouch. <- very likely in my opinion, to see how much hype it gets.
(Very likely, I think, because I have seen a ton of hype by viewers of tech blog sites posting about how they would buy yet another itouch if it had 3g for free or reasonable pricing. Plus a ton of them said it would be just awesome (although most acknowledged more than just a 3g upgrade would be nice. I am wondering if the iphone will go to 4g, while the itouch gets bumped to 3g….)
Well that is all I have for tonight!!
Good night peoples!!
~James :D

Last nights Dreams
Well I just got done doing core, and in three minutes I will be in the next day: in tomorrow, and I think it's best I write down my dreams that I remember from last night before I forget them even more!! :O
Okay first dream or so...
It's really dark out and I think I might've just come out of a building.
I am running around in my track uniform and short shorts, singlet + short shorts = track uniform,
and I see Josh running around with a yellow strip of cloth tied around his head with the two tails flowing out from behind running around too and some other unidentified guys.
(apparently it was some sort of national (?) holiday that had something to do with xc and school colors I think)
Coach Dollar, our cross country (xc) running coach, was sitting in a chair nearby and smiles and pointed at I think Josh and said something about Josh's outfit and whatnot.
There was probably more to this dream but I don't remember right now... O_o
Next dream...
I am with some people, I don't remember who or if I ever did remember who, and we are standing somewhere and it has begun to rain (?*I'm not sure if it rained but I think it did)
and then someone said something about the flood and when I look up I see cartoony sky blue water rising up in the distance and heading towards us.
Someone said something about standing on this one spot, it was a tree root coming out of the ground or something that was about a foot higher, and that we would be safe.
So I balance on the spot and the wave swooshes on by and I nearly lose my footing but am safe.
There is probably more to this dream as well, but I didn't remember much when I woke up either xD
now onto my favorite dream <3 <3
I was in some store, and the beginning of the dream was a bit vague but I think someone (perhaps Dad??) died and I was really really sad like crying a lot.
(this might of happened at the end of the dream ^^ but I don't remember)
But in any case there was this girl, I think she might've been the daughter of some guy in the store perhaps...
And this girl was beautiful! She had pale-ish skin, blond hair, and sky blue eyes (looked a bit like hannah from the movie but not really)
I leaned forward and kissed her!! :D
Then I think she and I, we fell and I kissed her another time or so!!
(and I remember thinking something like, Oh! So that's how you kiss a girl, you just go up and do it! Or something like that lol)
I think I felt like I had an erection within my dream O_O, which was rather unexpected and I think I told her something about not being the right one for her or something (I don't really remember ... :{, but I was sooo happy I got to kiss her :P :D )
Fav fav fav dream for quite a while :D
I wonder if I'll see her in my dreams again tonight? Probably not, and if I do I don't know if I will remember the dream :<
I hope I will :D
Well, that's about all for now...
Well I guess I could say this real quick.
Today was pretty awesome!
I went rollerblading, later went running through the hills for 50 minutes (ugh lol), and did some core too!! ^U^ :P
I washed some dishes, and helped my mom brush our two pomeranians (O.o poor little gals! They were not happy lol)
Alas, I did not get to read any books though @~@ :<
Oh well, I want to get to bed now because I have been staying up till like past two a.m. and waking up at 1o or eleven everyday... which is more than I need of sleep... and keeps my schedule from synchronizing with my families xD
(and they bother me because I am still sleeping. Well, my parents do.
They come in and knock on my door and talk to me and whatnot, let the dog into my room to lick my face and make me want to get up. (if I don't though, the dog will just lay there on my bed with me, until she get's bored :3 <33333)
Yesss...
Well, That is all I should write for now I guess.
Cross country training is well underway!!
Now just to update my bloggy more often and to actually do my summer homework... maybe lol.
Thanks for reading!! :}
Yours truly, <33333
~Logan Haser
LOL, okay then...
Once upon a space without time lived a frog that was very vain and wished that he had hair like all of the beautiful humans did.
So he went out and did some shady dealings with some old witches who knew something of the matter with hair, and they gave him a potion to drink that would DEFINITELY give him hair. Well, when he got home he drank the potion and nothing happened. So he went to bed all sad and depressed realizing it was a scam and mourned the loss of valuable toadstools (which he traided for the potion)
When he awoke he discovered that he had grown hair!
He was soo excited that he jumped up and began to swim through the lake to find his friends to show off to,
but as soon as he jumped in the water his hair came off and began to float around in the water. The frog was horrified! Was his hair gone already? Did he ruin it by going in the water?
He picked up his hair and brought it back on land and plopped it on his head.
He looked at his reflection in the water and realized with a shock that the witches potion had given him hair, but the hair that it had given him was a wig!
He was sorely depressed and not at all satisfied with the idea of having a false wig, so he decided to do what any self respecting frog might have done: he went to visit the slizwhisher
The slizwhisher was the only creature on the planet that could make almost anything happen if you asked him, but he also charged steep prices that often revealed to the people that were bargaining with him that they did not really want what he had to offer them because it would not bring them the happiness or joy they had thought it would.
The frog was very aware of this and packed everything he owned, from his little froggymobile, to all the froggy outfits in his drawer.
He swam down to the bottom of his little home town lake swamp and, lifting up a hefty concealment at the bottom of the swamp, slipped down into the secret passageway leading out to the lowfrogway.(he would have used the highfrogway, but it doesn't access the home of the slizwhisher)
He went through tunnel after tunnel after tunnel.
Luckily for him he had packed the right supplies and used the tollfrogroads to get to his destination faster.
When he arrived at the slizwhisher's house he knocked on the door and against all doubt the slizwhisher answered the door!
The slizwhisher was a platypus with suppos-ed mystical abilities to help you get one thing you desired regardless of what it is (be it material or nonmaterial)
The slizwhisher spoke saying, "You are here for hair, yes, young frog?"
The frog replied saying "Yes I am. What.. what should I trade you for? I- I've got clothes! A car? Money! What do you want??"
The slizwhisher merely chuckled and said, "I desire none of your material possessions my dear."
The frog let out a huge sigh and then asked, "What do you want then?"
The slizwhisher replied saying, "Why I want to trade a trait for a trait.
You will have hair, but you will be bigger, wider, and well.. uglier than before. Would you be willing to give up your petite frog shape in order to gain hair?"
"Well... err... uhm..."
mumbled the frog.
"Would my children get the same... ugliness, and or would they get the hair?" the frog asked in a speculative voice.
"All of your seed will get your new form, but none of your seed will get any hair"
the slizwhisher said majestically with her voice echoing off the walls in harmony.
"Hmm.. okay then, I would be willing to do that deal. Yes, I agree! Let's shake on it"
the frog said excitedly.
Finally he was going to get some hair, what difference did it make if he was larger and wider? He would be beautiful and life would be wonderful!
Moments after shaking the slizwhisher's hand the frog began to shake and quake and rumble and groan.
He became all bloated, became all wide, he became... ugly!!
He then blacked out and heard the voice of the slizwhisher saying, "Remember darling, beauty is in the eyes of the beholder!! Take good care of your new hair!!"
And with that the frog passed out.
...
The frog awoke back at his home with all his supplies where they were before he packed for the trip.
He remembered doing the deal, and getting the hair, and was eager to look in the water to see how he looked.
When he peeked into the water he was shocked and appalled to see what was staring back at him.
He was huge and ugly!!
His hair was beautiful, but he was no longer his handsome old self...
Yes! That's it! He was handsome before he had made the deal, what a horrible mistake he had made!!
The frog agonized over his mistake, and while doing so a foxy frog came over to him smiling and said,
"Oh baby, I love your size and would love to use your hair to make clothes in my shop! Would you be mine?"
The now bloated frog had never seen such a beautiful frog and said,
"My dear little miss,
I would love to for you to be mine and for me to be yours! Would you really love me?"
The foxy frog whispered,
"Why darling, you are unique and I'm already falling for you! My only request is that as a wedding present you let me shave your head for the rest of your life and use your hair in my clothes store"
With that the frog, though taken aback, agreed realizing that all he really ever wanted was love and that he now had love.
Two frogs lived a long and happy live giving off many offspring, which later were called 'Toads'.
This is the story of the bald frog and the wig, and how he overcame his vanity and found love. (and how he became a toad too lol, and how toads came into existence)
(Here is the 'random question'
The children are waiting! Please tell them the story about the bald frog with the wig:)
