Nanana come on come on I like it like it...

Hello peoples!! :D
How art thou and thine kinsmen?
Lol, okay in all seriousness, just a quick update on my life :>

Programming is fun but until I tackle a great and challenging program I think my learning has reached a plateau at the moment.

Economics, well... I need to self study for the AP and for the practice exam my teacher will give me when I return from spring break O_o
I'll be ready though I think :p

During the spring break I'll be out in California, getting my patriarchal blessing and saying hi to people I know and whatnot ;)

I am currently trying to learn Cantonese and Esperanto.
I would also try to learn French, Portuguese, and Japanese, but I think I barely have time for canto and Esperanto :/

Maybe after the APs are done :>
Them I can write programs that teach the subjects I understand best :p
(I do want to make a major educational game one day, so this would be a good prelude to that effort)

I still practice drawing every once in a blue moon, like you saw yesterdayish or so. (Okay like last week xD)

Did you guess who it was that I drew? :PPP
It was...

Kennedy of course!! XD
Who else would you think of animafying when you are bored? ;}
I still have a long way to go, as evidenced by the drawing I did, but I will keep practicing little by little until I grow really old and die.
:p lol

Oh yah, this last weekend was father and sons campout for my church so my dad and I went down to Pui O :)
It was beautiful!!
(Although there were a trillion Mosquitos @0@!!)

If I didn't know better I'd say that I had found my new home lol ;)
Okay, we get the point, it was pretty pretty there :p

Anyway, I tried to verbally teach someone object oriented programming last Friday and that was the biggest fail I've ever experienced.
He's really intelligent, but he wanted me to convert his convoluted program into object oriented code so he could see the transition :|
His program is so weird and complex that I don't want to touch it.
I want to rewrite it so it's simpler and easier to understand.
His method of writing tic tac toe, while it mostly works, is really really overcomplicated and uses a ton of unnecessary algebra to do things.
@_@
Yeah: I'm just going to guide and have him write a simple object oriented program... I think :)

As far as our group coding project goes, I think he's already started working on it :o
He's pretty intelligent and I don't doubt he had itchy coding fingers lol

But maybe he didn't I am not sure.

Anyway, things in my other classes seem to be going okay.
Except Chemistry seems a bit sucky still, I think I did terrible on a test I took.
But he had me go into the back and the sounds were quite loud still :/
Oh well.
Make up tests can be like that *shrug*

I have an advertising commercial project in Econ, so that should be interesting... Well, I think I have to go now. :(

Thanks for reading!! ^u^

Sincerely,

~James

Twas twice told true, twice testily too

Hello dear readers! :D
How are you? :)

Yesterday was Thursday which means I had anime club!! :P
Unfortunately everyone left shortly after meeting because there was nothing to do :/

I tried to convince them that drawing manga or discussing anime/manga was something we could do, but alas to no avail.

So I stayed and practiced converting real life into anime
Here is the result:

(Can you guess who? :p
hint: a famous American president answer at the end of this post)

Not the best drawing of him, but good practice nonetheless :)

Anyway, it seems my interests and desire to be great in so many different areas of profession and study makes it hard to focus and get anything substantive done in any of them :/

I think I might have to buckle down and focus on my majors for the time being

Although...
I love math, but I also love love English and history, and my English professor suggested to me that I perhaps major in the humanities.
I agree with his analysis of my interests and capabilities, but maybe he doesn't see the vibrant life that both math and English have and share.
Both are creative and fun endeavors that liberate the soul.
Both are subjects that take years of careful diligence, study, and practice to master.
Just like programming, art, pretty much everything really.

Maybe I am better at one thing than another, for instance I don't know very much of ap chemistry right now, but I love most subjects equally. :)

I have too many passions perhaps.. *shrug*

People don't understand.
Knowledge is power, but more so power over the mastery of oneself and one's endeavors than mastery over those selfsame things in others.

The more one knows the more they can see reality for what it truly is, the more the invisible structures of this reality and of our society becomes visible.
But more importantly it gives their creative endeavors an intellectual flare that exponentially increases its quality and potential.

Knowledge allows you to manipulate your operations to achieve great things, every little nougat of information, every morsel, feeds and enkindles that fire deep inside the heart of your work and breathes into it new life bolder and more audacious than before.

Knowledge gives you the resources and understanding necessary to apply and use those resources to achieve great and masterful things.

Knowledge is the power to achieve one's potential and to help others achieve theirs.

Knowledge is one of the most beautiful endeavors, and is one that all mankind can benefit from.

On that note my friends, let us dance amongst the stars and pursue those two great and noble endeavors:
The pursuit of knowledge and the pursuit of love.

Alone in the Abyss

Alone in the Abyss we slip and slink About...

Hello readers! XD
Weird transition, I know lol :)
But I am here typing as I go to school to tell you about my life as of late :>

Our parents are out of town so we are taking care of the pets and ourselves, which isn't too bad but which takes time and focus.

I had a debate competition this last Saturday, which turned out to be a really fun experience, even if my team lost all except the friendly match.
It's interesting to see some great debaters speak, the difference is self evident.

I'm not the best debater and I've only just joined debate club, but it is a fun and intriguing sport to say the least :)

I still think they should have intellectual sports, where teams of people come together and in 40 mins research and write some epic speech or something or... ehhh..
Whoops xD I need to think about this more lol *shrug* :)

Anyway, there isn't much else to say for this post :0
So.. 'Til next time! ^.^
Thanks for reading!

Sincerely,

~James
