Did I ever mention how awesome, and yet quirky, Nintendo is?
Nintendo is the only company I have ever known to offer rewards, real rewards with free shipping, if their customers register their games and systems and answer simple surveys.
Nintendo also always has groundbreaking technology, like the wii and 3ds. (and the ds, 2 screens? One a touch screen? Awesome!! And still with buttons? Wicked awesome!!)
The Nintendo 3ds is really awesome, or more accurately the 3d games for it make it awesome! I've never played the legend of Zelda ocarina of time before, but this first time in 3d on the 3ds is amazing!! Especially with the headphones I got for Christmas! Truly immersive and fun!! :D ^u^
However, the other 3ds game I was excited to play, super Mario 3d land, while fun, is far too easy for an experienced Mario player.
With the Galaxy Mario games for the wii and now the 3d land for the 3ds, it appears that Nintendy is targeting kids and newcomers to the Mario games.
I mean, just because it's aged 7 and up, doesn't mean it needs to be easy enough for a 7 year old who had never played Mario games before!!
I love Nintendy's idea of a virtual console store, on the wii and on the 3ds, but I am sorely disappointed and pissed off that they did not include it in the dsi and dsi XL!!!
I mean, the release the dsi, shortly after the dsi XL, then shortly after announce and then release the 3ds!!
The completely killed the dsi's!!
@-@
And they didn't even add virtual console games to it!
It just has dsiware. T.T
Which is better than nothing, but really? It CAN play console games, it can run emulators on a flash cart for Pete's sake!!
I guess I'll just have to do that, run emulators on it that don't work well, because they weren't made by Nintendo obviously, and also buy some on my 3ds.
Nintendo is both embracing digital software and holding on to cartridges, eshop + in store 3ds games, and making it extremely difficult to have the same software across your various systems. (very unlike apple and their system with iPods and whatnot)
They sell you the license to the game, not the game itself, and if you want it on your 3ds you have to transfer it to your 3ds, and this deletes it from your dsi!!
How ridiculous!! >.>
That is a major drawback.
Oh and I have a good amount of digital games on my 3ds, and lately when I boot it up it gets so that I can click anywhere on the screen and it only clicks the brightness settings icon, and when that opens clicking on things doesn't work the way it should. Eventually it will stop acting up, or I will have to reboot.
This is a major problem.
I shouldnt have trouble a large percentage of the time I spend playing my 3ds!!
Nintendo's lack of enthusiasm for homebrew is rather tragic, as it is such a lively and lovely arena of the video game sectors.
And it would make Nintendo's consoles so much more popular!!
Anyway, I got a bit carried away there. What would really make Nintendo's consoles popular would be the ability to share and play and make rom hacks for classic games.
Think about it.
The users have to buy the game from the eshop to play the hack, then they have to buy the hack (if it's paid, and Nintendo would get a percent(I hope)), and those who wanted to make romhacks would buy the tools from Nintendo.
Sales would be good, and the most original content for the games would be created.
These classic games would actual pose a reason for those who have already beaten them to play them. Many classics are just too boring to play now, but with some mods and hacks they could be given life again, reborn, evolved, beautiful.
I think Nintendo should also think about combining certain aspects of certain games together.
Like, in acww the ability to go into a forest area in your game and hunt for Pokemon, or a hidden underground area you could mine for "bells" or things to sell for bells with a hidden secret base which you could use as a tiny house to store secret stuff or whatever.
The animal crossing for the n64 was really cool, it had other games in it!! XD
Well... I'm really tired now, it's 1, but since my nose is no longer bleeding, I am going to bed!!
Good night!!/morning!!
I love you!!! :D

Short quickie
Hey y'all! :P
XD
Just wanted to post a quick update for today :)
Nintendo has begun to release the epic games the 3ds needed when they launched it, 3d ocarina of time, Mario 3d land, paper Mario 3d, luigis mansion, Mario kart, etc.. animal crossing..
The list goes on and on. :)
Oh and their virtual content service has steadily been improving, with virtual console, 3dsware, dsiware, and 3-d classic games being released.
(since I was a 3ds early adopter I got a lot of Virtual Console games free :PPP, haven't played them yet due to school and.. Well, other things are more interesting atm lol.(like the 2 games I got for Christmas ocarina of time 3d, which I never played the original so that's cool, which has amazing visuals and really brings you into the game. (and Mario 3d land :D) (atm = at the moment, dunno if this is different or a universally used acronym ;p)
I'm still not getting back into my acww romhack just yet, too busy with everything!! School = no!
I also haven't been working on coding anything lately either, though my dad ordered me snow leopard so I could begin coding for iOS :P
Thaaat's right! For the device I am using to write this blog right now!! XD
I wanna buy a keyboard for this so I can type w/o using the touchscreen's tiny keyboard.
@0@ lol.
But it'll set me back 40-50 dollars used, or a trade. I don't have either lol, I'll just have to wait for now...
Speaking of which, you never see anyone sell something for ridiculously low prices these days, no-one trying to help out their fellow man with a great deal.
(perhaps due to economy and selfishness/self centered ness?)
I love the idea of doing something just because it is thought that no one does that anymore.
Let me elaborate:
In that I mean I love the idea of some crazy ass dude selling things he doesn't want anymore for really really really cheap prices, just because "no one sells anything (that) cheap".
I don't know how to explain it, but that concept gives me this giddy feeling. You're defeating the stereotypes and not conforming to what is expected and in the process benefitting people.
Also, if you are willing to sell things cheaply cheaply cheaply just for the sake of someone existing who is willing to do that, or just for the sake of doing it or for your fellow man, then you increase the odds of you finding someone selling what you want cheaply.
... Ugh, I'm getting really tired.
(and getting up at 5:10 tomorrow, zero period.. What fun lol xD)
I need to complete drivers Ed, study for all my classes and my finals, get caught up on my late homework, read enough pages to complete my book report in English, decide on whether or not I am going to winter formal, run everyday and do core, which I sadly didn't do today D:, and I need to finish my art projects before its too late.
Oh, and did I mention finals (midterm finals) are just about here/fast approaching?!?
Yes, I better get my act together and quickly, or else all is doomed to failure. (or at least I won't get into caltech, and will end up at a college I didn't choose/want. o.o)
(must do near perfect on the sat, grahh lol)
Well then, now that this quick update became a really long one,
Good night!! :D
I love you!!! :}

Hello again!!
Hello!! I am posting again!! :P
What a pleasant surprise! ;D
Anyway...
I was thinking, when you are talking to friends and family about an idea you have they kinda nod mechanically, and are not really interested in what you are saying.
They probably see it as rambling.
Thus, the best way to learn, share ideas, and get inspiration is to meet like minded individuals in a group. ((people)With goals or purposes in common with yours)
This is the best way to remain active, stimulated, and to receive feedback and new ideas, to improve your idea or just in general, which will be beneficial and invigorating!!
I personally want to meet a group on weekends, when I am older, that is for speaking and for speakers of Esperanto.
I really want to learn Esperanto :D
As far as school goes, I think it's rather foolish to teach students just the abstract knowledge with no background information.
We are thrown into an environment without knowing where we are, how we got there, and where we are going. Or even why.
I find it immensely more interesting and easier to grasp things if and when they are taught in historical context along with the info of their creators.
History is truly the most important subject of them all, for it encompasses all other subjects.
And is thus itself the greatest endeavor in human existence.
(it chronicles human existence (as well as big bang) and is the perfect vehicle to learn everything as it arises in history. In chronological order)
Well, I'm wrapping this blog post up, so I love ya!! :D
I'll write more later, but for now, I'm off to read and do homework!!
Ayeyeyahhh!!! Lol
Bye for now,
~James Dodon

Late night update :P
Hello dear readers! And world at large!
Have you come here to read about someone else's life and idears? :PPP
Well then you are in luck!!
Although it may get boring, hopefully it's not too bad. :}
First...
I haven't gotten more than six hours of sleep each night the past couple of days, and I have zero period Spanish III @.@, and boy oh boy is it taking its toll on me.
I feel like someone took my brain and decided to run a few extra programs on it, so to speak, and suddenly my performance is taking an icy plunge for the worse.
I need sleep.. Lol.
I am trying to finish my art project and keep/get my grades up in my classes.
IB physics is tomorrow and, while I usually do pretty good, lately I have been so tired it's like omnipotently harder to grasp everything. -.-
And to make matters worse, I have homework all the time, and not much time to do it.
I have to sacrifice all my time just to try and do it all, and I have been refusing to..
(partly because I'm so tired I find it hard to focus on Hw, partly because Hw is boring, and partly because I have some kind of amotivational funk going on.
(I think it's a character flaw, really talented, good features, no motivation to work out or apply myself. @>@ probably am just afraid of competition.. Not sure. ^|*_~_*|^ shrug
I want to start a business when I am older, and create my own os.
I don't want to post my ideas for it here just yet, due to the fear of idea theft.
Anyway,
Apparently just a little while ago sun Microsystems was funding a project called Open Wonderland ( I think), and it's a 3d virtual world geared towards business.
It looks really cool.
(you can drag and drop files onto the viewer app screen and add them in-world!!
Very cool indeed.
(also has security/privacy settings for individual items, and the server itself.)
I'm pretty sure you could set up your own server if you wanted to, and host your own virtually created world.
Reminds me of secondlife, only better conceived.
I haven't had the liberty to try it yet, wouldn't run on my version of windows, but I will eventually get around to it.
Oh and when Sun was acquired by Oracle, Oracle stopped funding the Open Wonderland project and now it's more community driven and open source.
(which makes me curious if it would be possible to somehow bypass the security mechanisms of the server despite the whole apps purpose of being secure for businesses, etc.)
Well it's approaching 10 p.m
I have to awake at 5:10. ,.,
I didn't get to talk much, but hope to update again soon. (like tomorrow.)
Thanks for your time,
Love ya!!! :D ^u^
Sincerely,
~James Dodon
